I am a graduate of Mohawk College's Business - Accounting Diploma program.  And I am very proud to call myself an Alumni.  Mohawk College has been ranked as one of the best colleges in the Hamilton and Toronto area. 

I successfully completed the Business - Accounting program in 2011 and had several jobs, for many years prior, which involved payroll, administration, and bookkeeping.  Obtaining this diploma was one of the best decisions I've made as it gives me the credibility to do what I love while giving my clients peace of mind.  And when it comes to peace of mind, that's what every business owner deserves when doing what THEY love.

I pride myself on Honesty, Integrity and Transparency.  As bookkeepers, we have the responsibility to abide by a code.  This code, or collection of commonly-followed accounting rules and standards for financial reporting, is called GAAP: Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.  They are the tree that grows the leaves and keeps your company following best business practices within your accounting department.

In 2018 I participated and completed a two day course offered through McMaster University by the Mental Health Commission of Canada.  Our society on a whole is recognizing that mental health plays a larger role than we previously realized.  With education and certification like this one, we can continue to break down barriers.
